Today we hiked Ike. We went to Eisenhower State Park in Denison, TX and hiked the Fossil Ridge trail. We're in training, I guess. Gary is trying to break in his new elk hunting boots. Maggie is trying to get in shape for her first High School gym class, Shiner needs to get ready for pheasant hunting in South Dakota, and I need to start taking long walks again now that the weather is cooler.
ESP is a beautiful place to get back in shape. The trail follows the shoreline of Lake Texoma, and there are gorgeous bluffs. Although, Gary, Maggie and Shiner did not take time to enjoy the scenery. I was left in their dust, as usual.
Now, I think I'll go down to the dock for a dip in the lake to cool off.
